Dear Readers,

Do men have an urge, impulse or even desire to repent? Does ‘Ash Wednesday’ provide an opportunity to express that repentance? Either consciously or unconsciously? Given the nature of modern life though, which behaviors should men actually repent for?

Were covenants God spoke to Adam and Havah overcome in the Law apply to our in modern life? Which of the earlier covenant with Adam and Havah were revised through Noah? Or through Moses? How does Jesus bridge the covenants?

We have been discussing ‘Ash Wednesday‘, about which Wikipedia says:

“Ash Wednesday derives its name from the practice of blessing ashes made from palm branches blessed on the previous year’s ‘Palm Sunday‘ (on the occasion of Jesus’ entry into Jerusalem before The Feast of Passover when he would celebrate his last Seder with his disciples).

The blessing is placed on the head of the participant to the accompaniment of either the Word of God:

‘”Remember that you are dust, and to dust you shall return“‘.”

          (God’s Word in the Law, B’Resheet/Genesis 3:19b)

Recalling from the sixth day of Creation, Yom Shishi: “ADONAI, THE LORD GOD formed a man from the dust of the ground…”. And God, “breathed into his nostrils the Breath of Life (God’s Ruach HaKodesh, Holy Spirit Spirit, the essence of God’s Divine Feminine) – and Adam became a living soul.” (Page 26.) As the Father, it was God’s declaration that men are of the dust – the Earth, the Mother, and to our Mother he, and all men will return. All life flows through the Mother, the feminine, the female – woman (page 27.).

Now consider the alternate Ash Wednesday blessing Wikipedia mentions quoting Jesus in the Love:

‘”Repent, and believe in the Gospel“‘

(Page 81 and elsewhere. See also John’s admonition on page 52.)

Reflecting on just how it is that both the man and the woman are created in God’s image and likeness (page 26.), just what is this Gospel to which Jesus refers? Like all the Law, the Prophets and the Other Writings of Scripture, as well as the Love – his Gospel, that requires men to both believe and act? It is to honor the Divine Feminine – the female, woman, the Mother, the Earth. In a manner of speaking, Jesus bridged and balanced the Law with the Love as God intended through Creation, and as David had done. But do men understand the life-giving influence of God’s Divine Feminine aspect? With respect to the Gospel, his Gospel, Jesus said:

“I say to you very truly where ever this gospel will be taught throughout the whole world it will also include what this woman has done…

“It will be told as a memorial of her.” (Page 283.)

A memorial to her. A memorial to God’s Divine Feminine essence differentiated by God as all things feminine – the Mother, the woman, the wife, the sister. In all her Shekinah Glory, she balances all things masculine, the male, man. Allows for him to be healed, made whole, complete, unified, one as God intended (page 27.). In this one brief passage Jesus both elevates God’s Divine Feminine, in all the ways we can perceive her, to the place of co-equality with the Masculine, and also dedicates men to God’s purpose and plan for them.  Of course this is obvious throughout “The Word 2.0“, his teachings, his healing, indeed all his ministry. Yet men to this day resist. Why? They cannot, nay, will not allow the feminine to be recognized as man’s co-equal and balance.

In the tradition of Hellenism and Phariseeism, perhaps men do not want to be unified, whole, complete, healed? At least some men. Perhaps peace is really bad for their business? Their male-dominant, divisive world-view? In their never ending efforts to divide men and women, perhaps it is the lingering affect of this one passage in which God said to Havah:

“Your desire will be toward your husband, but he will rule over you.”

(God’s Word in the Law, B’Resheet/Genesis 3:16b)

Clinging on to this one excerpt, a long ago superseded passage from that covenant with God, men refuse to accept that when they fail to honor their agreements, those agreements change. They are modified; terms and conditions change. Because men are corrupt, egoic (evil) and selfish (sinful) from their youth, they abused women, their wives, their daughters, the Earth, indeed all things feminine. So much so that by the time of Noah, God was prepared to destroy all life. But God cleansed the Earth instead, and preserved the very essence of God’s own Divine Balance – the masculine and the feminine, and made a new covenant with Noah and his wife. (Pages 28 – 29.) Simply put, one covenant men dishonored covenant was replaced with another. Men do not rule over women under the Law of God, only by their own corruption. Man’s corruption and so their tyranny is the true legacy of Hellenism-Phariseeism in modern life.

And this is the basis of repentance. So it just makes the Ash Wednesday blessings such crucial reminders. God’s intent, and Jesus’ ministry, was about preserving the perfect co-equality and balance reflected in all God’s Creation. A balance and co-equality the Hellenist-Pharisees sought to replace with their male-dominant “man-worship”. And as the Sh’ma (Shema) teaches, oneness remains an integral part of our covenant with God unto this very day – indeed the goal and objective of our covenant with God. And as Adam and Havah were created, given life, and souls as a perfect expression of God as Oneness, we too can be as one in perfect Divine Balance like the Law and the Love, the Masculine and the Feminine, the Father and the Mother.

Shalom!

Miguel

We are dedicated to the absolute co-equality and balance between men and women! Our premise is that God created us this way to be whole, complete, unified – as One, through one another, masculine and feminine. That is what Jesus taught men. We are discussing how the Word of God as taught by Jesus of Nazareth was willfully or inadvertently misrepresented or misunderstood such that men came to believe they were somehow more equal.

God is One! We are one! Consider the Sh’ma (Shema):

“Hear O Israel – The Lord our God is One Lord. And you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind, and with all your strength.’

This is the first and great commandment.

The second is like it, namely this: You shall love your neighbor as yourself.” (Pages 305 – 306.)

Whether or not you agree please be our “Friend” and “Share” us with your friends!

You are reading one in a series on the “Feminine-ist” teaching of Jesus of Nazareth.

As a Traditionalist Rabbi opposed to Hellenism, Jesus’ teachings are drawn entirely from the Law, the Hebrew-Jewish Scripture and the Traditionalist doctrine of his day. To which he chooses to specifically emphasize God’s Divine Balance – the absolute co-equality, balance, unity, harmony and Oneness of God’s masculine and feminine aspects.

This weblog, our pamphlets, study guides and other materials are inspired by Miguel’s book, The Word 2.0, a new biography of Jesus of Nazareth in his own words, based upon a single, unified timeline that reveals important new details about his life and ministry! For example that Jesus was not a Hellenist!

God is undifferentiated masculine and feminine energy in perfect balance, whole, complete, unified, and co-equal. God is neither male nor female, and yet both – inseparable! And as a reflection of God’s Divine Balance, God made each of us manifest as male and female, man and woman, in God’s perfect likeness! Truly a state of grace.

How Adam’s actions brought about the fall from this state of grace is something we will discuss elsewhere. Suffice it to say that long before Jesus was born, men and women were already out of balance. In the more immediate sense of events which took place in Israel before Jesus was born, I found the Seleucid Greek invasion critically important because of the belief system we call “Hellenism” the Greeks forced on the children of Israel at that time.

It may not be especially well known today but the Seleucid Greeks from Syria outlawed our One True God! They forbade the worship of God under the penalty of death. Their King Antiochus IV Epiphanes (Antíochos D’ ho Epiphanḗs, “God Manifest”), believing he was god, decreed the people would have no other god before him.

Hellenism did cause divisions among the people though. On one hand identifying with the Greek empire and culture could enrich certain elite Israelites, but on the other hand their man-worship violated God’s Law. This divided not only those who were “Hellenists”, their supporters and adherents, from those who were “Traditionalists“, but also, apparently, men from women. Why? Because it is also in the nature of Hellenism that women be subordinate to men.

Typical Hellenist art depicts the naked male-form as the object of worship - godly.

Typical Hellenist art depicts the naked male-form as the object of worship – godly.

But our One True God was definitely not a Hellenist, right? Given that, Jesus was not a Hellenist – quite the opposite. We might characterize Jesus’ ministry as anti-Hellenist – teaching men in particular about the Divine Balance of God’s Feminine and Masculine aspects, specifically “Feminine-ism“. I briefly outline some basic principles of Jesus of Nazareth’s life and ministry, as they are revealed in “The Word 2.0”:

1. Jesus was a “Traditional” Hebrew-Jewish teacher and Rabbi – to say the very least!

2. Jesus was not a “Hellenist” in any sense of our understanding the word.

3. Jesus espoused and promoted that our One True God – the God of Israel, is a perfect co-equal balance of both masculine and feminine, as is reflected in all Creation.

4. Jesus said that we must love the Lord our God first and foremost, and then love one another as we love ourselves.

5. Jesus taught that love, beginning with God’s “Ruach HaKodesh” – the Breath of Life and Holy Spirit, as aspects of God’s Divine Feminine, is the only way that men can experience the Kingdom of God.

6. Jesus rejected the kind of egocentric, selfish, self-centered thinking and behavior of men that characterizes “Hellenism”.

We will discuss each of these points in much greater detail as we continue, and, look for my study guides they will soon also be available!
