Dear Readers,

Building upon the precepts of balance that reflect God’s Oneness as taught by Jesus of Nazareth, most recently we have been discussing his mother Mary as a reflection of God’s Divine Feminine and the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., as a reflection of God’s Divine Masculine. Most notably we would like to highlight their perspectives on justice. We consider his ministry and works a testament to social justice.

We are dedicated to the absolute co-equality and balance between men and women! Our premise is that God created us this way to be whole, complete, unified – as One, through one another, masculine and feminine. That is what Jesus taught men. We are discussing how the Word of God as taught by Jesus of Nazareth was willfully or inadvertently misrepresented or misunderstood such that men came to believe they were somehow more equal. God is One! We are one! Jesus said,

“Hear O Israel – The Lord our God is One Lord. And you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind, and with all your strength.’

This is the first and great commandment.

The second is like it, namely this: You shall love your neighbor as yourself.” (Pages 305 – 306)

Is there, or can there even be any kind of absolute standard of balance between any two things that results in what we call justice? When we stop and consider that what is good for one person isn’t always good for another, it becomes quite easy to imagine that what is good for one community or state or whole country isn’t necessarily good for another. If events since at least World War 2 are any indication, not even the United Nations has been able to absolutely, satisfactorily resolve differences been member nations or groups of nations who choose to be reconciled! Perhaps there is no unified, coherent, global sense of justice and equality that applies?

Perhaps in the instance of justice, like so many other issues over the past say 2,000 years, collectively we have been going at this concept or idea all wrong? We have overlooked the Divine Feminine aspect’s equality, and so Divine Balance. Let’s stop and consider beginning some 2,500 years ago, what was right for Persia or Greece or Rome was clearly not right for Judea-Israel – judging by the outcomes anyway. In essence all those male-dominant societies invaded, occupied and otherwise attempted to enforce their worldview on a nation which, by and large, believed in just our One True God. Our God is One – a balance of energies between the masculine and the feminine.

As we have been discussing, the most divisive and far-reaching of these cultural influence upon belief in our One True God has been what is called Greek Seleucid Hellenism. The notion that men are separate and apart from women – more equal than women. Stronger than women, smarter than women, better than women. That men are to be idolized – that a man is to be worshiped as god in the world. Not to mention all the negative connotations about women which seem to naturally flow from such logic as it were. Perhaps our approach to justice, be it a universal justice for all or social justice is that for these past 2,000+ years it has been exclusively male oriented. And not even a true reflection of God’s Divine Masculine at that.

From that male-dominant perspective, where men are better than women, some men are better than other men. They of course know what is best for all. Therefore, as Greek logic dictates, Greek Hellenists are rightly more important than (greater than; “>”) other non-Greek men or non-Hellenist men. And so naturally, among those men who are not Greek or even Hellenists, there are divisions by wealth, influence, race, creed, color, national origin, and so forth. But always the opinions of men > women.

[Let’s try and bear in mind that even in the United States of America women have not had the right to vote 100 years! Or that when the words, “We the people” were written, they only meant men – white, land-owning men.]

Jesus was not a Hellenist. And so as he aptly pointed out again and again and again about the Pharisees, who had adopted and promoted the Hellenist worldview in Judea-Israel, their ego-centric, selfish pursuit of their own self-interest could only make for unjust outcomes before God. Might we suppose this very self-centered man-worship is one reason why the Greek Hellenists sought to outlaw and ban our One True God in the first place? Be that as it may, without the necessarily co-equal balancing influence of God’s Divine Feminine, justice is really just tyranny. The tyranny of men over women, the “justice” of the invader, the conqueror, the occupier? Is it not still oppression, repression, death, and destruction?

With respect to Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., read, or better still listen to him deliver his speech entitled “Beyond Vietnam”. With respect to Mary, her Traditionalist/Orthodox views on God as equal parts Love and Law reflect the feminine and masculine aspects. They balance one another in the way Mercy balances Justice. God’s Divine Feminine aspect, projecting the absolute co-equality of all things feminine, the female, woman is the only way toward justice. Men are simply not capable of bringing true justice about. What did Mary say?

God has helped the servant Israel, in remembrance of mercy.”

This is but one aspect of what we refer to as the “Feminine-ist” teaching of Mary, Jesus and Martin too – that the Love of God is just because God is merciful.

In Spirit and in Truth!

God is undifferentiated masculine and feminine energy in perfect balance, whole, complete, unified, and co-equal. God is neither male nor female, and yet both – inseparable! And as a reflection of God’s Divine Balance, God made each of us manifest as male and female, man and woman, in God’s perfect likeness! Truly a state of grace.

How Adam’s actions brought about the fall from this state of grace is something we will discuss elsewhere. Suffice it to say that long before Jesus was born, men and women were already out of balance. In the more immediate sense of events which took place in Israel before Jesus was born, I found the Seleucid Greek invasion critically important because of the belief system we call “Hellenism” the Greeks forced on the children of Israel at that time.

It may not be especially well known today but the Seleucid Greeks from Syria outlawed our One True God! They forbade the worship of God under the penalty of death. Their King Antiochus IV Epiphanes (Antíochos D’ ho Epiphanḗs, “God Manifest”), believing he was god, decreed the people would have no other god before him.

Hellenism did cause divisions among the people though. On one hand identifying with the Greek empire and culture could enrich certain elite Israelites, but on the other hand their man-worship violated God’s Law. This divided not only those who were “Hellenists”, their supporters and adherents, from those who were “Traditionalists“, but also, apparently, men from women. Why? Because it is also in the nature of Hellenism that women be subordinate to men.

But our One True God was definitely not a Hellenist, right? Given that, Jesus was not a Hellenist – quite the opposite. We might characterize Jesus’ ministry as anti-Hellenist – teaching men in particular about the Divine Balance of God’s Feminine and Masculine aspects, specifically “Feminine-ism“. I briefly outline some basic principles of Jesus of Nazareth’s life and ministry, as they are revealed in “The Word 2.0”:

1. Jesus was a “Traditional” Hebrew-Jewish teacher and Rabbi – to say the very least!

2. Jesus was not a “Hellenist” in any sense of our understanding the word.

3. Jesus espoused and promoted that our One True God – the God of Israel, is a perfect co-equal balance of both masculine and feminine, as is reflected in all Creation.

4. Jesus said that we must love the Lord our God first and foremost, and then love one another as we love ourselves.

5. Jesus taught that love, beginning with God’s “Ruach HaKodesh” – the Breath of Life and Holy Spirit, as aspects of God’s Divine Feminine, is the only way that men can experience the Kingdom of God.

6. Jesus rejected the kind of egocentric, selfish, self-centered thinking and behavior of men that characterizes “Hellenism”.

We will discuss each of these points in much greater detail as we continue, and, look for my study guides they will soon also be available!
